Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and
the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. This
notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items
prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a
Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. The information required by FAR
Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ linked above or it may be
accessed at
http://procurement.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= .
NASA/GSFC plans to acquire the following items: ITEM # 1 -- ACID
STATION #1 -- Quantity 1. This station shall be 8 ft long, and have the
following components: a) Two water DI guns; b) Two N2 guns; c) Two
filtered, temperature controlled bath BOE baths at 20oC +/- 2oC; d) One
filtered, temperature controlled bath to be use with HNO3/H3PO/CH3COOH
at 50oC +/-2oC; e) Three programmable cascade rinsers, provide one
rinser with a manual gooseneck; d) Provide toxic exhaust transition to
12" FRP duct. ITEM # 2 -- ACID STATION #2 (optional) -- Quantity 1.
This station shall be 6 ft long, and have the following components: a)
Two water DI guns; b) Two N2 guns; c) One static bath 10:1 HF at room
temperature; d) One SC2(HCL/H202/DI) bath at 105oC +/- 2oC; e) One
H2SO4/H2O2 static Teflon PFA bath at room temperature; f) Three
programmable cascade rinsers; g) Provide toxic exhaust to 10" FRP duct.
ITEM # 3 -- DEVELOPER BENCH (optional) -- Quantity 1. This station
shall be 8 ft long, and have the following components: a) One MF312
static bath at room temperature; b) One static polypropylene bath for
compatible chemical at room temperature; c) One 6" deep polypropylene
well with no drain; d) Three programmable cascades rinsers, one with a
manual gooseneck; e) Provide toxic exhaust transition to 12" duct.
ITEM # 4 -- BASEBENCH -- Quantity 1. This station shall be 8" ft long,
and have the following components: a) One KOH filtered bath at 80oC
+/- 2oC; b) One SC2(NH4OH/H2O2/DI) filtered bath at 80oC +/- 2oC; c)
One 6" deep polypropylene well with no drain in the center of deck; d)
Three programmable cascade rinsers, one rinser with a manual
gooseneck; e) Two duplex outlets for instruments used in the well. They
shall be protected/insulated from chemical exposure; f) Provide toxic
exhaust transition to 10" FRP duct. ITEM # 5 -- SOLVENT BENCH --
Quantity 1. This station shall be 8 ft long, and have the following
components: a) Two acetone filtered ultrasonic baths at 20oC +/- 2oC;
b) One acetone static bath at room temperature; c) One methanol static
bath at room temperature; d) Three programmable cascade rinsers, one
rinser with a manual gooseneck; d) CO2 fire detection/suppression
system; e) Automatic fire/smoke damper; f) Provide toxic exhaust
transition to 12" galvanized duct. ITEM # 6 -- DELIVERY &
TRAINING—Quantity 1. The vendor shall have a representative on
the site for delivery and unloading of decks, and shall provide
start-up and training to NASA personnel once installation is completed.
(Must be quoted for basic and options.) ITEM # 7 -- DOCUMENTS --
Quantity 2. The vendor shall provide two sets of all pertinent
documents, including drawings, manuals, EOM, etc. One copy shall be in
clean room paper. (Must be quoted for basic and options.) See
additional information/instructions in the Statement of Work (SOW)
uploaded to this solicitation. Questions regarding this acquisition
must be submitted in writing (e-mail is acceptable) no later than 4:30
p.m. EDT on Friday, August 25, 2000. It is the quoter's responsibility
to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential
quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this
