This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04700-00-T-0077. The solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. The standard industrial classification code is 3679. Place of delivery and acceptance is at Edwards AFB, CA, with an FOB destination. The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB, CA has a requirement for the following: 4 each P/N 858941-1, Bus Isolation Module (BIM); 5 each P/N 870316-1, Pulse Code Module/Control Module, Version 2 (PCM-CM2); 8 each P/N 870314-1, Pulse Code Module I/02 (PCM I/02); 1 each System Integration/Software Development; 1 each for On-Site support (software verification at Veridian). This requirement is for pulse code modulation controller, communication and configuration software development and integration support for T1 C-17 re-instrumentation. The contractor will develop the programmable pre-conditioning unit (PPCU), the remote multiplexer data acquisition unit, and the pulse code modulation central controller. The contractor is also responsible for the control of the Western Telematic Inc Code Activated Switch Box through the use of their data cycle map software package. There is no substitution or equal allowed on this acquisition. Units must be compatible with existing units. Edwards AFB intends to procure these units from WEMS Electronics unless other offerors can provide specific requirements with better terms and conditions.
