Aerospace Contractors Association of New Mexico, with the support of
the Air Force Research Laboratory, will host its fourteenth annual
BRIEFING FOR INDUSTRY (BFI 2000) August 17 and 18, 2000 at the
Albuquerque Marriott Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico. BFI 2000 will
provide a comprehensive summary of Department of Defense, Department of
Energy and NASA new business opportunities in the state of New Mexico.
In addition, it will provide important insights into government
technology programs and strategies. It is a "must attend" for anyone
interested in doing business in the important New Mexico marketplace.
This year's Briefing For Industry features a distinguished list of
invited guest speakers, including: Sen. Pete Domenici, US Senate; Lt
Gen Roger DeKok, Air Force Space Command; Dr. J. Daniel Stewart, Air
Force Materiel Command; Honorable Walter Bradley, Lt. Governor, State
of New Mexico. Brigadier General Paul Nielsen, Air Force Research
Laboratory commander, is scheduled to providethe overview of the Air
Force Research Laboratory. Organizations scheduled to participate
include: Air Force Research Laboratory (including Wright-Patterson AFB
directorates); Space and Missile Systems Center/Test and Evaluation
Directorate; Airborne Laser (ABL) System Program Office; Space Based
Laser Program Office; NASA Johnson White Sands Test Facility; White
Sands Missile Range; 46th Test Group; Theater Air Command and Control
Simulation Facility (TACCSF); Department of Energy; Sandia National
Laboratories, and the Southwest Regional Spaceport. During the
comprehensive two-day program, the participating government agencies
will describe their program objectives, discuss emerging technologies,
and identify contracting opportunities to the audience of current and
prospective contractors. Presentations will cover multiple topics
including: research and development; test and evaluation; technical and
analytical support; operations and maintenance; systems procurement;
