Primary use of the system will be to make aluminum welds for manufacturing outer pontoons for the Improved Ribbon Bridge. Secondary use will be to make aluminum welds for various track vehicle programs. Manufacture and provide a robotic welding systems. The major component of the system includes a robotic welder, power supply and slider. The robot shall be designed to operate as a welding robot. The robot structure shall be a vertical articulated type and shall be equipped with 6 axis of operation. The drive system shall be AC servo motor type. System repeatability shall be +/-.005". Total robot weight shall not exceed 325 lbs. Robot shall have optional installation methods including floor, mounting on a side beam and hanging up-side down. Robot shall also be capable of being mounted on a slider. This is a commercial item. The contractor design and function of this equipment shall be in accordance with the requirements above. These shall be considered minimal and are not intended to restrict or limit the use of innovations the contractor has, either currently available or under development. Innovations would be those options that would result in an overall improvement in system capability, function, maintenance, reliability, or efficiency above that which has been asked for in the specifications. The equipment shall be constructed of new parts, which are without defects and free of repair. Delivery period -- within 60 calendar days after contract award.
