Z -- PATHOLOGY CAP DEFICIENCIES -- UD SOL IFB 646-10-00 DUE 092000 POC Lynne Dickerhoff, Contracting Officer, 412-365-5441 Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision to perform all necessary work required to complete project 646-352, entitled, "Pathology CAP Deficiencies -- UD" at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. Project work shall include, but not limited to demolition (including asbestos abatement) and renovations to the Lab/Office space on Level 2 as shown on the drawings. Also, replacing/modifying/adding to the HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire protection systems is included as shown on the drawings. This work extends beyond the Level 2 renovation area to other floors and roof area of the building. Work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, laboratory equipment, utility systems, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. The project is to be done in 2 phases with Phase 1 being completed and occupied before work begins on Phase 2. Work shall be performed in accordance with all VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System codes, standards, rules, regulations and other specified requirements. All work to be completed within four hundred twenty (420) calendar days of the date of receipt of Notice to Proceed. The standard industrial classification code is 1542. Size standard is $27.5 million. Estimated cost range: $2,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Solicitation package will be available o/a August 21, 2000.
