A -- The U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA/Office of Global Programs intends to procure on a sole source basis from Riverside Technology, Inc., support toward the proposal titled, "The Use of Long Range Climate Forexasts in Water Resources Decisions Making". The proposed contractor will provide the following services: (1) The development of the climate disaggregation technique to be used in down-scaling the NCEP model results for use in NWSRFS. (2) A description of the test basin(s) including basin characteristics, hydrologic forecasts generated using calibrated and uncalibrated NCEP model results. (4) Discussions on the verification of the hydrologic forecasts when compared to observations. (5) The results of a risk analysis of using PQPF forecasts to drive hydrologic models in a water resources decision making application. This is a notice of itent.
