Thomas M. Hardee, Contracting Officer (919) 541-0429 WEB: None, None.
E-MAIL: None, None. The National Institute of Environmental Health
Sciences intends to negotiate with TherImmune Research Corporation of
Gaithersburg, Maryland on a sole source basis to expand the efforts
described under the Statement of Work of existing contract
N01-ES-75409. Specifically, the expanded effort will consist of (1)
investigations on behalf of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) in support of its Endocrine Disrupter research initiative and (2)
evaluation of possible toxicity in the CNS, the immune system, or the
reproductive system in juvenile rats after developmental exposure to
combination of AIDS therapies. Authority: 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as set
forth in FAR 6.302-1 and HHSAR 306.302-1. Inherent duplication of costs
to the Government and unacceptable delays impacting upon the specific
studies to be conducted make competition unfeasible. See numbered note
