synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in Far subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the
current federal acquisition circular 97-04. The Marine Corps Northeast
Regional Contracting Office currently has a requirement for
installation of a two (2) position Motorola Gold Series Elite radio
console and one (1) radio console furniture set located at fire station
31, Building 2045 Barnett Ave, Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Va. . The
contractor must meet the following requirements: (1) Must have a system
engineer, who has a thorough understanding of the present and future
needs of the fire protection/prevention branch (FPPB), which may
include but not be limited to an enhanced 911 and radio trunking
systems. Develop a system implementation plan to ensure a schedule of
activities, (times, dates, completion date), to monitor and measure
progress of implementation processes against any milestones and be able
to react to unforeseen delays or events to ensure continuity and that
the operations of the emergency dispatch center will not be without
communication for a extended period of time. (2) Will remove the
necessary existing furniture and the existing communication equipment
from the dispatch office. (3) Will install the Motorola gold elite
communications console equipment and furniture purchased by the fppb.
Will ensure continuity throughout the system with other office
equipment (i.e. Dictaphone, kingfisher alarm system etc.) (4) Will
ensure that all local, state, federal codes and installation
specifications in accordance with the Motorola R56 quality standards
manual are met in the installation of the communication equipment. Will
need a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the installation of
Motorola Gold Elite series of equipment to ensure continuity with all
current system and future systems purchased by the FPPB. (5) Will be
responsible for removing all debris generated by the installation
process and leave the area in quality condition. (6) Will be required
to test all phases of the completed system to ensure the FPPB will be
satisfied and meets all of the requirements of operations. (7) Will
provide FPPB complete system documentation needed for future systems
integration. (8) Shall not use substitute equipment (brand name only)
or material other than Motorola unless prior approval has been
obtained. (9) Will provide training to the FPPB on the Motorola Gold
Elite communications console. (10) All contractors must be registered

urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be
performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local
conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance to the
extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall
failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after
