NASA/GSFC/WFF plans to issue a Request for Offers for Modifications to Building N-159 for Accessibility at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Virginia 23337. The scope of work for this project shall include, but is not limited to: the construction of a hydraulic passenger elevator at the northeast corner of Building N-159. The work includes the removal of concrete slab and wall sections, excavation, concrete foundation and slab, CMU wall construction, elevator system installation, roofing, metal siding, installation of personnel doors, windows, suspended acoustic ceiling, vinyl floor tile, painting, electrical power, and lighting. The work shall be complete. It includes furnishing, as applicable or as may be required, all Contractor's plant, equipment, safety devices, labor, tools, materials, supplies, and services; and performing all operations necessary for or incidental to a complete project in conformance with the drawings and as set forth in the various sections of the specification. This procurement is being conducted under NASA MidRange Procurement Procedures. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within 150 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1796 and $7,000,000.00 respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about August 14, 2000 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about September 13, 2000. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Bid packages containing specifications and drawings will be available at a nonrefundable cost of $50.00. Payment must be made in the form of a certified check, company check, or money order, made payable to "NASA", which must accompany the request. No personal checks or cash will be accepted.
