Postal Service is soliciting proposals from already prequalified firms for the design and construction of the new Main Office, Norco, CA. The facility is approximately 19,923 SF on a 131,397 SF Postal owned site. The building exterior will be "old west" in appearance. A horse path and hitching area will be provided. The Design/Build contractor will be responsible for the completing of the design documents while conforming to Postal Medium Standard Building Design (MSBD) requirements. The work also included design and construction of off-site improvements and utility improvements and connections. Coordination with local jurisdictions, application, payment and submission for off-site improvement plan check and permits will be required and are the responsibility of the D/B contractor. Liquidated damages will be $1500/day. Completion must be within 300 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Please pay particular attention to requirements that you provide a credible and action-oriented subcontracting plan as part of your proposal. Failure to provide a satisfactory plan could reduce your chances for contract acceptance. Offers will not be publicly opened. All proposal information will remain confidential until award.
