DRAFT SOLICITATION FOR THE PRIVATIZATION OF UTILITY The Defense Energy Support center is issuing, for industry comment, a draft solicitation intended for use in support of U.S. Army customers. This draft solicitation covers the privatization of natural gas, electrical, water, and wastewater utility infrastructure at installations located throughout the United Sstates. The draft solicitation can be found at the following website: http://www.desc.dla.mil/main/a/priv.htm Interested parties are encouraged to review the draft solicitation and provide comments. DESC will be conducting industry forums to facilitate the collection of comments. The Government intends to hold separate forums with industry representatives from the following: Investor-Owned Utilities, Municipals, Cooperatives, and Non-regulated Entities. Additionally the Government will provide the opportunity to individual entities within the above groups who wish to meet with the Government on an individual basis to do so. Companies interested in attending forums are requested to email DESC of their intent to attend and their interest in either a group or individual forum. Information on times and dates for forums will be provided at a future date. Written comments should be forward to the Defense Energy Support Center by COB August 15, 2000.
