COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JULY 27,2000 PSA#2651 A -- PARALLEL ADVANCED TACTICAL TARGETING TECHNOLOGY (PAT3) "The
Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Special Projects
Office, and Air Force Research Lab (AFRL)Sensors Directorate will be
Co-hosting an Industry Day on 13 July 2000, at the Sensors Directorate
Auditorium, Bldg 620, 2241 Avionics Circle, Wright-Patterson AFB OH.
The purpose of the Industry Day is to familiarize industry with the
Advanced Tactical Targeting Technology (AT3)program and the associated
technology needs in the areas of advanced algorithms and simulation.
A Program Research and Development Announcement (PRDA) solicitation
will be released shortly after the Industry Day. The objective of AT3
is to develop and demonstrate technologies to enable very accurate,
extremely rapid, passive emitter geolocation for lethal tactical
targeting of fleeting enemy assets. The AT3 program is an ongoing
activity with a contractor currently developing a data collection and
demonstration platform. This industry day will discuss a new parallel
effort to develop and demonstrate, through simulation and data
analysis, a range of innovative approaches to the most stressing
multi-ship tactical target acquisition and geolocation problems. The
emphasis in this parallel effort is innovation and not application of
legacy techniques. Areas of interest include but are not limited to:
multiship deinterleaving, resolved and unresolved multipath mitigation,
polarization exploitation, multiplatform Time Difference of
Arrival/Frequency Difference of Arrival(TDOA/FDOA) algorithms, and
counter- countermeasure approaches. Multiple awards are anticipated and
joint program reviews will be conducted. Attendance at the Industry Day
is not a prerequisite for submitting a proposal. However, it will
provide a valuable opportunity for questions and answers. Seating at
the Industry Day briefing is limited. Request a maximum of two (2)
representatives per offeror. Badging and sign-in will begin at 0830
hours and the government briefing will begin at 0900 hours and conclude
at 1100. The briefing will be UNCLASSIFIED, however discussions may be
conducted at the SECRET level. One-on-one sessions will be available
from 1100 to 1200 and 1300 to 1630; these sessions will be twenty
minutes and will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Request attendees register for the Industry Day and the one-on-one
sessions, providing Name,Company/Organization affiliation, Address,
Telephone number, and E-mail address not later than 7 July.
Registration data must be faxed to (937) 656-4339, attn: Capt James
Sikra (James.Sikra@wpafb.af.mil, voice (937)255-4794 x 4316). Security
