GROVE CRANE REPAIR AND CERTIFICATION SUBJECT: Grove Crane Repair and Certification DESC: The U.S. Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Pittsburgh, PA intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Coast Crane & Equipment, Portland, OR to provide the following work: (1) Mark Controls, Manual Swing Brake and Park Brake; (2) Remove Kruger A-2-B and line rider; (3) Install Load system; (4) Install A-2-B System; (5) Repair Front Wiper; (6) Install 2 Hand Signal Charts; (7) Install Backup Alarm (Trouble shoot and repair); (8) Repair Boom Angle Indicator; (9) Repair 2W-4W Shift Control; (10) Repair 2 Outriggers Jack Cylinders; (11) Light Hone and Reseal; (12) Replace Heat Shield for Muffler; (13) Install New Heater in Cab; (14) Reseal Air & Hydraulic Swivel (Rechrome Barrel if Needed); (15) Repair Frozen Wire Rope Tension Roller on Hoist; (16) Replace Broken Right Mirror; (17) Torque Turntable Bearing Mounting Bolts to Specs.(Must Remove Transmission); (18) Repair Foot Operated Swing Brake; (19) Install Fire Extinguisher; (20) Update Wire Rope Installation at Rope Socket; (21) Replace all Clearance Lights; (22) Replace 1 Fog and Drive Light; (23) Clean Electrical Swivel; (24) Replace all needed Wiring Harnesses; (25) Replace all Needed Hydraulic Hoses and Fittings; (26) 23 foot Cable Suspended JIB Assembly; (27) Replace Cab Defrost Fan; and (28) Service Crane -- "C" Service. This purchase order is being issued to Coast Crane & Equipment because they are the only factory authorized Grove Crane dealer or repair facility on the West Coast. Certification requires that a factory authorized facility perform the inspection for certification and perform repairs. This request is considered to be sole source to Coast Crane & Equipment.
