Aging, Intramural Research Program, Gerontology Research Center intends
to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Monroe County Long Term
Care Program, Inc., Gerald M. Eggert, Ph.D., Executive Director,
Principal Investigator, Piano Works, Suite 2250, 349 West Commercial
Street, East Rochester, NY 14445. Dr. Eggert will provide a dataset on
1600 elderly men and women who are participating in an intervention
study designed to enhance medical care. Project ACCESS, a randomized
controlled intervention trial, provides an opportunity to investigate
personality as a potential predictor of health and functional outcomes.
These data will allow investigation of the role of personality factors
in moderating interventions resulting in increased patient
self-efficacy and self-control. An award will be made 30 days from the
date of this notice. All responsible sources may submit their
capabilities which shall be considered by the agency. This procurement
is being awarded as a simplifiedacquisition in accordance with FAR
