NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE RFQ FOR 8-1-0-S7-C9327 POSTED
ON 7/17/00. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their
quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject RFQ and
a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment
is to provide official answers received in response to the
solicitation. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. 1.
QUESTION: Is the RFQ limited to infrared SEs based on "rare-earth
oxides"? ANSWER: The selective emitter must provide significant power
(on the order of 25% of total emitted power) in the wavelength region
between 950 to 1020 nanometers. The material is not limited to
rare-earth oxides if the in-band energy is met. 2. QUESTION: Must all
the work be conducted on-site at the MSFC X-ray Calibration Facility as
noted, or can the production and testing of emitters be done at another
location? ANSWER: Production and testing of the emitter material can be
done at other locations. 3. QUESTION: What government facilities other
than space in the X-ray Calibration Facility would be available for
use? ANSWER: There will be office space available to the successful
bidder. Companies shall provide the information stated in the RFQ
posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on July 28,
2000. Documents related to this procurement are available over the
Internet and are in Microsoft Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, or
