Materiel Command Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, has
requirements for NSN: 1670-01-999-2658, PARACHUTE, CARGO G-14; NSN:
1670-00-251-6601, PACK, CARGO PARACHUTE G-14; NSN: 1670-00-611-5507,
DROGUE, PARACHUTE STATIC LINE. The Contract minimum for the Parachute,
Cargo G-14 is 1,000 each, the Pack, Cargo Parachute G-14 is 500 each,
and the Drogue, Parachute Static Line is 800 each. Funds will be
obligated for quantities ordered upon issuance of Delivery Orders, and
not by the basic contract. It is the Government's intention to award
Delivery Order Number 0001 for First Article Tests / Inspections, the
Data requirements and the contract minimum quantities, concurrent with
award of the contract. Approval of the First Article Test Reports must
be received prior to beginning production items. The Government
anticipates that this acquisition, will result in a five year
Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract. This
acquisition will be solicited on a full and open competition and
awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis. The Standard Industrial Code is
2299, and the size standard is 500 employees. A best value source
selection will be based on the offeror's proposed price, and past
performance both being equal in order of importance. Offerors shall
submit then past performance information requested in Section 'L' of
the Solicitation. Contractor may provide economic price breaks. The
total period for the contract is from Date of Contract Award
(DACA)through 1,826 days after Date of Contract Award (Five years). The
solicitation will be issued on or about 9 August 2000. Proposals shall
be due by 3:00 PM on 22 September 2000. Questions may be addressed to
