SIC _1711 Provide all material, equipment, and labor necessary to demolish existing ceiling tile and plaster and installation of a new fire alarm system, new 2 X 2 acoustical tile ceiling, light fixtures, and mechanical diffusers. Install a new roof opening with curb and removable cover for installation or removal of present or future mechanical units. Work will be done in a building with courtrooms, under conditions where added requirements will be necessary for noise and environmental limiting factors. Work will involve air conditioning, fire protection, electrical, and mechanical requirements at the Federal Building/Courthouse in Lawton, Oklahoma. Estimated cost range is $250,000 to $500,000. This project is being procured as a negotiated, firm-fixed price contract requiring the prime contractor and his subcontractors to provided references regarding past job performance as mechanical, electrical, and HVAC contractors in buildings partiallyor fully occupied during the construction period. Extra consideration will be offered to those who have also worked in a courthouse environment during these work experiences.
