The work includes demolition and removal of four dry chemical storage silos, feed equipment, process chemical feed piping, electrical enclosures and other appurtenances; demolition and removal of concrete sidewalks, construction of concrete tank foundation pad; restoration and renovation of existing pad including construction of concrete piers on which to mount an existing 10,000 gallon chemical storage tank; furnish and install one new 10,000 gallon glass fiber reinforced tank; construct one CMU chemical containment area; install steel piping for sodium hydroxide feed and connect to existing piping; construct CMU wall in flouride room; modify process controls and SCADA monitoring system to allow closed loop control of NaOH feed; rehabilitate chlorinating system to pace residual with plant effluent flow; install all related process piping; modify valve operators, controllers, instrumentation and control interfaces as needed; and incidental related work.
