quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this
pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors for Crane
Trackage Inspection, Maintenance and Repair Services at Pearl Harbor
Naval Shipyard, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The contractor shall provide all
labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, and transportation
necessary to maintain, inspect, and repair elevated crane trackage and
ground level crane trackage systems. This will be a Combination Firm
Fixed-Price (FFP) and Indefinite Quantity (IDQ) contract. The FFP
involves: 1) Continuous daily inspection and scheduled maintenance on
the entire Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Portal Crane Trackage system,
which includes as a minimum, examination of the portal crane trackage
system components, lubrication, adjustment, general cleaning and minor
repairs. The daily inspection and scheduled maintenance on the Portal
Crane Trackage system also includes, (a) Rail Inspection/Maintenance,
and (b) TongueSwitch, Turntable, and Rigid Frog
Inspection/Maintenance. The FFP also includes, 2) Annual scheduled
maintenance and inspection of all elevated crane rails in Pearl Harbor
Naval Shipyard. The IDQ includes 1) Rail Replacement; 2) Switch
Replacement a) Single Operator Mechanism, b) Double Operator Mechanism;
and 3) Frog Replacement. SIC Code 7699 applies. The contract term will
be a base period of one year plus four option years. The total term of
the contract, including all options, will not exceed 60 months. The
estimated contract cost is over $200,000 for the base year. Please

any effort expended in responding to this notice. Estimated contract
