This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented, with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation to be provided. A written solicitation will not be issued and any requests for a solicitation package will not be acknowledged. This synopsis shall serve as Request for Quotation numbered PSMS-00-C-02 which seeks written proposals for 8-1/2" x 11" white, non-recycled copy paper. This synopsis and incorporated provisions/clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. This acquisition will be processed using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Proposals received in responseto this notice will be considered for award to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest overal cost to the Government. Questions relating to this notice shall be submitted in writing no later than July 26, 2000 and sent via facsimile. Answers will be provided in writing via facsimile before time for proposals expires. This procurement is set aside for small business. The small business standard is under SIC 5112 which is 100 employees or less. The following provisions/clauses are applicable to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial Items (Mar 2000), 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Item (Feb 2000), 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (May 1999), and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (June 2000).
