49 -- MAINTENANCE & REPAIR SHOP EQUIPMENT SOL DAAE2000T0287 DUE 072800 POC Contract Specialist: Sylvia Gauthier (309) 782-7290, PCO: Howard Lewis (309) 782-3506 DESC: The Government is performing a Market Survey to: 1) Acquire Potential Vendor Sources of supply, who are capable/interested in fabricating a 5 Ton and 7 Ton Trestle Hoist/Jack Stand in accordance with a Government Description specified below, and 2) The Government is similarly very interested in vendor sources who possess a "Commercial Item" equivalent to the Trestle Hoist/Jack Stand described by the following Description. General Description: Trestles Hoist (jack stands) 5 US Tons load capacity, NSN: 3950-00-262-0392 and 7 US Tons load capacity, NSN: 3950-00-251-8013. Trestles (vehicle support stands) of the rack and pawl type that are positioned under raised motor vehicles to support the vehicles at predetermined heights for maintenance or storage. Trestles are designed to be used in pairs. The required configuration utilizes the rack and pawl type lock with a rectangular base. The trestles shall be new and designed for positioning under raised motor vehicles and shall be capable of supporting the specified load at various height. The trestles shall meet all of the requirements of ASME/ANSI PALD-1997, Section 4 and all of the additional requirements of the specification.
