The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Philadelphia intends to issue a solicitation for a firm fixed price contract for Industrial Hygiene Services at the Naval Hospital in Great Lakes, IL. This solicitation is issued in accordance with FAR 6.1. A nine-month base period of performance and four twelve-month option periods are contemplated. This requirement will be solicited using commercial items practices in accordance with FAR Part 12. This solicitation is part of a Government cost comparison to determine whether accomplishing the specified work under contract or by Government performance is more economical. If Government performance is determined to be more economical, this solicitation will be canceled and no contract will be awarded. Offerors will be required to submit cost and technical proposals. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 8744.
