E-MAIL: Contract Specialist, dellanno@volpe.dot.gov. This is Amendment No. 2 to Solicitation No. DTRS57-00-R-20027 titled Libby Asbestos Project Fill and Topsoil. The solicitation was published on June 30, 2000. This Amendment No. 2 provides answers to questions submitted by offerors, a bidder s mailing list, and also provides the following additional requirement. All successful offerors must have all applicable permits as required to provide the requested fill and topsoil. Question 1 Is the payment for this project paid in one lump sum when completed or is there a scheduled time for payment through-out the job? Answer Partial payments will be made. The schedule will be determined upon award. Question 2 Is there a requirement to do payroll weekly, or can it be paid on a bi-weekly period? Answer The Gove rnment is purchasing soil and fill on a unit price basis. The Government does not require information regarding payroll or other operations of the vendor which are included in the unit price. Question 3 Will the trucks that are hauling the fill and top soil have to be washed down after each dump before they leave the job site? Answer The trucks which are entering and exiting the job site will do so on a clean corridor, any washing down of the trucks will be done by the Government and doing so will not consume trucking time. Question 4 As far as any training needed for this project, will there be any classes made available in the Libby area? If so, will there be any fee for the classes? Answer -- Training is not required as part of this solicitation.
