The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, has a requirement for Ballistic Transparent Armor Glass for replacement windshields, side and rear windows of fully armored and light armored vehicles. Glass needs to conform to ballistic standards provided in the solicitation and be able to fit commercially built fully armored and light armored automobiles, trucks, and carry-all vans. This solicitation is an RFP to be issued on or about August 14, 2000. The Government plans to issue the solicitation via the Internet on the Statebuy Interactive Platform (SIP).
