PROJECT TITLE: GENERAL INSTRUCTIONAL FACILITY (PHASE 3), PRESIDIO OF MONTEREY, CA. JOB DESCRIPTION: New Building Construction of a General Instructional Facility (GIF), PH3, and Demolition of One (1) existing Building (includes demo of necessary paving, landscaping and other site features). The General Instructional Facility will use base design standard approved materials/context compatibility. The General Instructional Facility interior training space will be enclosed with acoustically-treated walls/ceilings and each classroom will have its own temperature control. Supporting the facility will include utilities, electric service, fire protection, alarm system, parking, paving, walks, curbs, gutters, storm drainage, information systems and site improvements. * Designer will need to consider a combination of performance oriented and prescriptive specifications, with support data included in a Design Analysis. This is a Design/Build Project; the Offeror chosen will complete the design and construct the facility. The acquisition method is negotiated procurement. A technical and cost proposal will be required. Evaluation by the Government will result in selection of a firm that represents the best value to the Government. The Bidders ATTENTION is direction to Section 00100 in the SOLICITATION for information regarding the Tour of the Site. The Procurement will be conducted under SIC CODE: 1542. The size standard for this SIC CODE is $17,000,000.00. ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS: Plans and Specifications must be ordered by the CUT OFF DATE of: June 23, 2000. Plans and Specifications can only be ordered electronically by accessing Internet Address http://ebs.spk.usace.army.mil./ Please complete the requested information to avoid a delay in your order. Orders received beyond the CUT OFF DATE of June 23, 2000, will not be honored. Plans and Specifications will be mailed out on or about June 30, 2000.
