This acquisition is being acquired in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition procedures in FAR Part 13. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ)to provide a Market Value Appraisal for 25 tracts (original and 2 copies for each tract), ranging in size from 0.23 acres to 400.0 acres, more or less. Most parcels are located in a suburan area known as Big Pine Key, Florida, which is located approximately twenty-five miles northeasterly from Key West, stretching across twenty-one bridges. The appraisal and report shall be in accordance with the Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisition, which can be found at web site www.usdoj.gov/enrd/land-ack. Issue date of teh RFQ will be on/or about July 14, 2000, with a performance time of 90 calendar days after receipt of award. Anticipated award date is August 1, 2000.
