CBD notice dated 01 May 2000 for the DALIMS RFP is hereby amended as follows: The DALIMS Request for Proposal (RFP) will be released on or about 1 August 2000. DALIMS requirement consists of hardware, software, site surveys, system integration, and facility preparation, installation, testing, data deliverables; technical, sustainability, and management support of the DALIMS sites. The DALIMS requirement period of performance is from the date of the award through 30 September 2003. A Justification and Approval (J&A) is being sought for the following brand name descriptions: Hewlett Packard servers with PA-RISC processors and the HP-UX operating system; Servers with Alpha processors and the Digital Unix operating system; and Servers with SPARC processors and the Solaris operating system; and specified COTS software (see CBD notice -- Appendix A dated 23 June 2000 for DALIMS, on web site http://abop.monmouth.army.mil). In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, use of these brand name descriptions is requiredto satisfy the program needs. Included as part of the requirement is a global certification of technical compliance by prospective contractors. The Government intends to solicit proposals on a full and open competitive basis and to award an estimated 36-month (1 one-year base period and 2 one-year option years), firm fixed-price, ID/IQ contract. Award will be based on a best value, trade-off process approach. The RFP will be made available on the Department of Army's CECOM Business Opportunity Page, web site http://abop.monmouth.army.mil.
