contract for repair of eighteen components of the AN/GRC 206 (V) 5. In
decreasing order of estimated cost these components include, but are
not limited to the following: 5821-01-408-9471RY, EA 1, CONTROL RADIO
SET, P/N, 729450-801; 5820-01-411-2903RY, EA 1, CONTROL RADIO SET, P/N
724760-801; 5895-01-409-0740RY, EA 4, PANEL CONTROL, RSC, P/N
729456-801; 5895-01-408-9101RY, EA 3, CASE, RSC, P/N 729455-801;
5998-01-411-2901RY, EA 5, SDU TI AUDIO BOARD, P/N 729446-801. The
AN/GRC 206 (V) 5 radio is used in the forward battlefield environment
for advising and directing air support operations. Delivery will be
based upon 15 or 30 days after receipt of the repairable component.
There will be a 1-year period after award of the contract for the
Government to deliver to the contractor all of the repairable items
listed in the RFQ. Delivery will be to Robins AFB. The approximate
issue date will be: 20 Jul 2000 with the approximate response date of
19 Aug 2000. Interested contractors may obtain the solicitation from

Classification (SIC) Code is 3663 (750 employees). Award is anticipated
on a sole source basis to Raytheon Systems Company, Fort Wayne, IN
46808 (CAGE: 37695). Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Justification:
Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a
limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies
or services will satisfy agency requirements. The data is proprietary;
therefore, the Government cannot furnish data or drawings to assist in
the repair of these components. All potential offerors should contact
the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to
communicate concerns, if any, concerningthis acquisition. If the
contracting Officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has
been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through
established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish
the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but to
communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and
recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When
requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the
source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the
evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. When
