Z -- PAINT WATER TANKS SOL 1443RP719000004 DUE 081000 POC Trish Fresquez-Hernandez, Contracting Officer, 505-285-4641, ext. 11 The National Park Service is soliciting proposals for construction firms having the capability of completing surface preparation to bare metal, cleaning, and coating exposed exterior and interior surfaces of a 300,000 gallon and a 1,000,000 gallon, welded steel, potable water storage tank. All existing tank coatings have varying percentages of total lead content. The work also includes installation of shell manways and a safety cage and ladder. A negotiated firm fixed price contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and price proposal. The Government will award one contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, will be the "Best Value" to the Government, price, technical, and past performance factors considered. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. Offerors shall submit proposals that can be accepted solely on the basis of the initial offer as the Government may proceed with award of a contract without further discussion.
