Townsend -- 562) 494-5815 Z M&R This is a notice of the Government's intent to enter into Sole Source negotiations with Marley Cooling Tower Co., Brea, CA. for Maintenance and Repair (M&R) of three (3) Cooling Towers (CT-1, CT-2 & CT-4) located at the VA Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center, North Hills, CA. Such towers were manufactured by Marley by specific patented design and repair parts/materials are also of specific design by Marley, to maintain the integrity and structural stability of the tower assemblies. The work required will include replacement of hot water basins and covers; new nozzles w/hardware; replacement of louvers; replacement of corner casing panels; replacement of drive shaft inserts; and equipment alignment to OEM standards. Proposals will not be sought from other contractors nor will a solicitation for offers be issued. The cost range of the proposed work is between $25,000 and $100,000. The applicable SIC Code is 1711.
