The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a contract with Sikorsky
Aircraft Corporation (SAC), 6900 Main St. Stratford, Ct. 06601 to
remanufacture four to nine government-furnished SH-60B aircraft and to
prepare them for conversion to the SH-60R configuration. The contract
will included: standard depot-level maintenance; a Service Life
Extension Program; administrative, financial, and technical data;
special tooling and test equipment; sustaining engineering and software
support; spare and repair parts; support equipment; integrated
logistics support and analysis; technical publications; training and
training devices; phased support; maintenance requirements and
refurbishment of repairable malfunctioning equipment (repair of
repairables). SAC also will conduct the non-recurring and recurring
engineering to rectify air vehicle deficiencies identified during Navy
Test and Evaluation. SAC is currently under contract with the Navy to
develop the SH-60R design changes, to provide test article
aircraft,and to provide the first lot of SH-60R Low Rate Initial
Production aircraft. SAC is the sole developer of the H-60 airframe and
therefore, is the only known source with the expertise, technical data,
equipment, and experienced personnel necessary to perform the required
