NASA/GSFC/WFF plans to issue a Request for Offers for the Replacement of Exterior Insulation & Finish System for Building N-162 at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Virginia 23337. The scope of work for this project shall include, but is not limited to: the removal of existing exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS) and associated materials; the preparation of existing surfaces; and the installation of new EIFS on Building N-162 and a small adjacent facility. The work shall be complete. It includes furnishing, as applicable, or as may be required, all Contractor's plant, equipment, safety devices, labor, tools, materials, supplies, and services; and performing all operations necessary for or incidental to a complete project in conformance with the drawings and as set forth in the various sections of the specification. This procurement is being conducted under NASA Midrange Procurement Procedures. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between$100,000.00 and $250,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within 120 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1542 and $17,000,000.00, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about July 10, 2000 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about August 10, 2000. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the RFO. Bid packages containing specifications and drawings will be available at a nonrefundable cost of $50.00.
