Air Force is requesting proposals for the demolition of buildings 1308
and 1701 at Hanscom AFB, MA. The scope of this project consists of the
furnishing all services, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and
transportation necessary to accomplish all work to demolish building
1308. This includes, but is not strictly limited to removal and proper
disposal of: one story 54ft x 126ft masonry block building and hallway
connecting facility to building 1302; poured foundations and footings;
removal of electrical conduit; panels; wire; telephone; all components
of HVAC systems and equipment; areas of raised floors; plumbing, to
include salvage and turn in of sewer ejector equipment to Government;
roof; any equipment, furniture or other items abandoned in the
interior; interior walls and finishes; exterior asphalt areas (as shown
on drawings). All remnants of the structure will be removed from the
surface of building 1302 so the newly exposed exterior will present a
clean and neat appearance. Any holes in the ground or scarified areas
resulting from demolition of facilities, pads, and asphalt areas will
be graded to match existing surrounding grades and shaped to drain. The
disturbed site will be graded, loamed (min 6") and seeded. Work for
building 1701 consists of, but is not strictly limited to removal and
proper disposal of: 34ft x 90ft poured concrete building; poured
foundations and footers; two story baffle/air intake and exhaust areas,
removal of electrical conduit; panels; wire; all sound and thermal
insulating materials, interior walls, roll-up metal doors, metal
baffles, concrete floor pad of varying thickness throughout facility,
poured concrete roof sections and covering roof materials, oil and
drain piping; and interior walls, interior 20ft long metal tank.
Waterline will be capped back at nearest hydrant, remove electric lines
to be removed to nearest transformer, remove all connections to sewer
and storm water drains; 12ft diameter metal control house, to include
all wiring, conduit, and piping.All asphalt areas shown on drawings,
removal of all under ground piping, conduit, duct banks both in poured
concrete trenches or encased in concrete associated with subject test
cell operation. All other utilities and duct banks servicing other
facilities in area are to remain. Any disturbed areas resulting from
demolition of facilities, pads, trenches, tanks, and asphalt areas will
be filled with acceptable fill to height of surrounding area. Surface
topsoil will be graded to match existing surrounding grades and shaped
to drain, loamed (min 6") and seeded. The magnitude of this project is
between $100,000 and $250,000. The period of performance for this
project will be 45 calendar days. The solicitation for this project

the below listed "hand-carried" address. These items will not be
mailed, and telephone requests will not be honored. Further information
will be available at a later date. All interested parties MUST be
registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database in
order to receive a solicitation or award. Applications for CCR
registration may be obtained or completed at the Internet address:

released on or about 22 Jun 00. Proposals can be mailed to: ESC/PKOC,

Proposals sent via Federal Express, UPS, or hand-carried, etc., shall
be mailed to: ESC/PKOC, Attn: Doug Punzel, 20 Schilling Circle, Bldg.
1305 3rd Floor, Hanscom AFB, MA 01731. Award will be made on or about
24 July 00. The Government reserves the right to cancel this
solicitation, either before or after receipt of proposals, with no
obligation to the offeror by the Government. FUNDS are currently not
available for this requirement. Offerors are advised that the cost of
any response is at the offeror's own risk. Unless funds are made
available for this requirement, no contract will be awarded. An
Acquisition Ombudsman, Colonel Joseph Magnone, Director, Commander's
Staff, has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential
offerors during proposal development. You should only contact the
Ombudsman with issues or problems you cannot satisfactorily resolve
with the program manager and/or contracting officer. The Ombudsman role
is to hear concerns, issues, and recommendations and communicate these
to the appropriate government personnel. The Ombudsman will maintain
strict confidentiality if desired. The Ombudsman does not evaluate
