The Army will hold a meeting for potential interested sources for
future business opportunities for the Joint Tactical Radio System
(JTRS) Army program on Tuesday, June 27, 2000 and Wednesday, June 28,
2000. On June 27, a public meeting will be held in the Meyer Center
Auditorium, located in the Meyer Center at Fort Monmouth, NJ, beginning
at 8:30 a.m. The purpose of this session will be to discuss the overall
strategy for and structure of the Army's program from the present
development phase to the production phase of the JTRS. On June 28,
individual sessions with government JTRS personnel will be scheduled at
Project Manager Tactical Radio Communications Systems, (PM TRCS),
Building 455, Fort Monmouth, NJ, beginning at 9:00 a.m., in one hour
slots. Separate registration is required to attend both sessions. To
register, please use the JTRS Army web page at
http://peoc3s1.monmouth.army.mil/jtrs. Companies wishing to register

is from June 6, 2000 through June 21, 2000. Further information will be
posted periodically on the JTRS web page. The JTRS is envisioned to
meet the Army's increased data radio requirements for information
dominance in support of Joint Vision 2010. The Army is committed to the
development of JTRS to provide warfighters with a family of affordable,
high-capacity modular communications systems for line-of-sight and
beyond line-of-sight C4I capabilities that are fully networked,
digital, wireless communications systems to operate throughout the
joint battlespace. The JTRS system will be a secure, multi-band,
multi-mode, software programmable digital communications system that
supports a broad range of C4I requirements. The system is planned to be
designed by industry with an open technical architecture (currently
referred to as the Software Communications Architecture (SCA)) to
permit cost effective product interoperability. WEB: To register for
