Furnish readjustment counseling services to eligible veterans referred by the Department of Veterans Affairs. For the purpose of this contract, counseling will be provided by social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists or other trained counselors, individually or in groups to ameliorate social, psychological, or behavioral impairment which interferes with individual veterans' relationships or overall ability to cope with problems encountered in daily life. Group of veterans referred for services include veterans from the Vietnam and Persian Gulf war, and conflicts in Lebanon, Grenada and Panama. Readjustment counseling services constitute social and phychological counseling to include: Group and family counseling, job and career counseling (other than job training/job placement) and substance abuse counseling. While the provision of medications and physical examinations are not to be considered a component of readjustment counseling services and will not be provided under this contract, offerors will be expected to have the capability directly or through arrangements to provide physical assessments, medical treatment, and therapy. Request for bidding documents must be in writing. Offerors submitting offers in response to this request for quote must be physically located in the one of the following Kentucky counties: Allen, Barren, Logan, Monroe, Simpson, and Warren.
