proofing 27 sites at specified road crossings to prevent general
degradation of the surrounding watersheds. The work includes replacing
inadequately-sized culverts with new culverts, rolling dips or
permeable road crossing. Some sites include installing new culverts,
constructing ford crossings and storm proofing road crossings with
aggregate surfacing. Work requires laying geotextile fabric, installing
drop inlet structures at culvert locations and placing riprap at
culvert locations and placing riprap at inlets and outlets of drainage
structures. The project area for Copperfield can be reached from
Klamath Falls, Oregon by traveling north on U.S. Highway 97 for 26
miles to County Road 858 (to Chiloquin, OR). Travel this road for
approximately 10 miles to the intersection of Forest Road 5813 which
starts the Mile Post (0.00) that leads to the project sites. To reach
the Trout Creek project continue on County Road 858 (Sprague River Hwy)
from the intersection of Forest Road 5813 for 15 more miles to the town
of Sprague River and the intersection of County Road 1101 (Squaw Flat
Road. Proceed south on this road to Forest Road 22, travel Road 22
approximately 3 miles to Forest Road 2228, then follow this road
approximately 2 miles to the project site 2228-S21. The estimated price
range is between $50,000 and $200,000. Award is being issued pursuant
to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This
project is not set-aside for either Small Business or HUBZone. Posted
