The Army requires a firm fixed construction contract to furnish all plant, labor, materials and perform all operations required in connection with REPAIR KITCHENS, FAMILY HOUSING AREAS 2 -- 9, HUNTER ARMY AIRFIELD, GEORGIA. The work includes, but is not necessarily restricted to the following items: (1) Replace existing gypsum board on walls and ceilings with new gypsum board. Replace deteriorated furring strips, wood framing and blocking with new material; (2) Replace existing kitchen cabinets with new kitchen cabinets; (3) Replace existing exterior kitchen door and hardware with new door and hardware; (4) Paint and wallpaper the interior of the kitchen; (5) Remove existing asbestos vinyl flooring and replace with new sheet vinyl flooring; (6) Remove existing vent hood and duct and replace with new vent hood and duct; and (7) Remove existing electrical wiring and replace with new electrical wiring. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The SIC Code for this project is 1521. The project is being solicited UNRESTRICTED. All responsible bidders may submit a bid that will be considered. The performance period is 365 days from date of award. This contract contains an option to extend the term of the contract for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. A difinite response date or date for receipt of bids has not been established at this time.
