15. N/A 16. N/A 17. The U.S. Coast Guard requires an upgrade to an
existing system installed in the Commandant_s Situation Room. The
system is an MMI-3000 with various options. The upgrade is intended to
replace existing CRT Video Projectors. The Contractor is responsible
for removing all obsolete equipment at the direction of the customer.
The Contractor shall be required to successfully perform the following
tasks: 1) Provide two (2) digital graphics/video projectors that
provide at least 1,000 ANSI Lumens at a maximum resolution of 1365 by
1024 pixels. They shall provide full 24-bit color depth. They shall be
compatible with computer graphics cards that operate from 15 to 82
kHz. Horizontal scan rates and supports a vertical frame rate of up to
78 Hz. They shall operate on a power source of 120 VAC and draw no
more than 660 Watts. For maximum color accuracy, the light source shall
be a xenon arc lamp at a minimum of 420 watts and the system shall
create the image with three separate image light amplifiers, one for
each color (Red, Green, and Blue) 2) Installation of the projectors
shall be completed in a fashion that fills the entire rear screens in
both dimensions without altering the geometry of the source image.
Installation shall be compliant with the manufacture_s requirements for
adequate cooling of the projectors. 3) The Contractor shall modify the
MMI System Database to activate the appropriate drivers for the
projectors provided. 4) The Contractor shall modify the database to
activate monitoring of the projectors during operation with the results
of that monitoring stored in text files that have each error event time
date stamped. 5) The Contractor shall modify the database to enable the
Lamp Saver module to minimize lamp burn time in an intelligent fashion
that monitors system activity and the physical presence of operators
at the station in the rear screen room. 17. 6) When the installation is
complete, the projector shall be capable of switching between all input
formats currently is existence in the CSR with the future capability of
support Component Analog Video (CAV). The projector shall recognize
sources provided by an external switcher and automatically recall
settings stored in digital memory to provide an accurate image on the
screen. Projector control shall be either through the MMI User screens
at the Operator_s station or via the wireless three-button remote
controls integral to the MMI System. The proposal is for services for
which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source
basis with Video Networks, Inc. 7808 Cessna Ave, Gaithersburg, MD.
