HIGH VOLUME PUMPING UNIT MFR: Innovative Equipment (or equal) QTY: 1 ea
1. Scope: The vender shall provide one (1) skid mounted self-contained
pumping system. The pump unit will incorporate a used Air Force owned
5_ x 6 14_ Failing Duplex Piston Mud Pump, two (2) new 4_ x 3_ Mission
Sandmaster centrifugal pumps, and a auxiliary variable speed hydraulic
source with quick disconnect fittings. Power will be supplied by a
single diesel power supply. All pumps will have hydraulic/variable
speed. All systems must run at max capacity during simultaneous
operation without robbing power from another component. The auxiliary
power will be used to operate a shale shaker. Both centrifugal pumps
must be removable from the skid for placement close to the suction
supply of fluid via a 25_ umbilical hydraulic supply/return line with
quick disconnects 2. Specifications: 2.1 The skid shall be 6_x12_ or
less and no more than 5_ OAH. The main frame will consist of I-Beam
runners boxed and gusseted, 14 radius ends front and rear with pipe
bumpers, and fully enclosed bottom of 3/16th AR 500 wears resistant
plate. Access panels and service panels shall be placed in web of
I-Beam where appropriate. As much componentry as possible shall run
inside skid when practical (i.e. tanks, hoses, battery, etc.). Any
space not used for components shall be used for storage. Removable deck
plates shall be used to provide access for repairs and storage
compartments. Forklift access tubes shall be provided thru side of
skid. Lifting/tiedown eyes welded at each corner, for skidding,
lifting, or tiedown. All compartments shall be lockable. Forklift
pockets shall be 4_x 12_ and 61_ to outside of pockets, forklift
pockets will be full width of skid at the bottom, fully enclosed in
frame. 2.2 The entire hydraulic system shall be driven by one (1) air,
water, and oil cooled industrial diesel engine. Extreme working and
environmental conditions MUST be considered. The engine exhaust system
WILL use a silencer to reduce the decibel level to a reasonablelevel
when standing at the operator_s station of unit. The engine and
hydraulic system will be of a design that, engine HP will be a minimum
10% greater than actual HP required to operate hydraulic system. This
will allow a margin for wear-in-tear on hydraulic system and engine.
Engine shall be mounted on vibration dampening pads. All necessary
components to operate engine shall be included (i.e. air filtering
system, oil filter, battery, etc.) 2.3 The hydraulic system shall be a
single pressure compensating hydraulic pump with variable displacement
open-loop design, of a direct gear driven PTO style. The pressure
compensating hydraulic system shall operate an auxiliary Tool Circuit,
5x6 14_ Failing Duplex Piston Mud Pump, and two (2) 4x3_ Mission
Sandmaster centrifugal mud pumps. The 4x3 pumps, the mud pump, and the
auxiliary variable-speed power source must work at max capacity in
simultaneous operation. The 4x3 Sandmaster pumps will be removable,
with wheel mountings similar to a dolly, and equipped with 30 feet of
pressure and return hose (hose will be incased in a protective sheath).
The 4x3 Sandmaster pump will be equipped with a 4x6_ eccentric nipple
at suction end of pumps. The pumps will be designed to operate in the
vertical position (the suction will be on bottom with sweep 90 elbow).
All hydraulic systems are controlled at control panel. Hydraulic
pumps, motors, valves, and hardware must of a design that_s available
worldwide. Hydraulic oil level low oil shut down must be included. (The
5x6 14_ mud pump will be supplied by the Air Force) 2.4 Tool Circuit
will be rated at 10 gpm at 1800 min/2500 max psi. Will be designed for
variable speed operation, have quick disconnect hoses in a protective
sheath 30_ in length. 2.5 Mission Sandmaster 4x3 centrifugal mud pumps
will be variable speed in operation with separate controls. Be equipped
with 30_ quick disconnect hoses in protective sheath, controls will be
separate for each pump. Pumps will have to produce a minimum 70 feet
of head at 400 gpm to super-charge piston pumps and run a four cone
desander bank. Estimated hp required is 75-106 at max or 25 hp at 568
gpm with 97 feet of head. 2.6 5x6 14 Failing mud pump will be ran by a,
variable speed hydraulic drive assembly, operated through a speed
reducer or slow speed hydraulic motor. The 5 x 6 14 Failing pump will
be designed to provide 200 gpm, max pressure 310, max strokes per
minute at 100. Estimated hp required is 50 at 475 jackshaft RPM. The
Failing pump is currently equipped with a speed reducer. 2.7 Control
panel shall be of a weatherproof design or equivalent. The gauges and
controls shall have a method as to protect them from vandalism,
shipping hazards, and weather conditions. The panel shall be located in
a location that is easily accessible to operator. Control panel shall
be equipped with a minimum but not limited to one (1) emergency shut
down device in plain view of operator or assistant. All switches and/
or controls shall be mounted in the control panel.
Switches/controls/gauges shall include but not be limited to: temp,
voltage, hour meter, oil pressure, fuel level, tachometer, tool circuit
pressure, key start engine switch, low engine oil shut-off, low fuel
shut-off, and any other devices required due to unforeseen design
criteria. Located at the control panel in a suitable location will be
one set of hydraulic quick disconnects for auxiliary tools. 2.8 The
unit shall include a minimum 75 gallon non-integrated fuel cell
recessed into skid frame with the above mentioned low fuel shut-off and
fuel level gauge incorporated with it. The fuel system shall include a
minimum two (2) diesel fuel filters, one (1) engine mounted and one
(1) frame mounted, or in similar locations for ease of maintenance. The
fuel tank shall have a minimum 2_ ID opening. Non-integrated fuel cells
are required due to maintenance and cracks caused by stresses on skid
or system vibration. 2.9 The unit shall include a high capacity
non-integrated hydraulic reservoir cell recessed into skid frame,
minimum 100-gallon (dictated by hydraulic cooling requirement). Minimum
2_ ID opening to fill tank with a screen (100 mesh) insert for
collecting debris. Hydraulic filters shall be provided at the pressure
and return side of system. Hydraulic cooling system must be provided
along with temperature gauge and level indicator. 2.10 The unit shall
include all parts manuals, operators_ manuals, and electrical and
hydraulic diagrams. There shall be a limited warranty included to cover
items that fail under normal work conditions, except when operator
error is determined the cause. Safety notices shall be posted at
locations on the unit that is dangerous, confined space, moving parts,
pinch zones, etc. *****52.252-2 CLAUSES INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE (FEB
