Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform dockside
repairs including but not limited to the following Base Items: (1)
Clean, Inspect, and Disinfect Potable Water Tank(s). (2) Renew Bridge
Window Seals. (3) Preserve Spill Oil Recovery Tank (25%). (4) Modify
SORS Tank Float. (5) Inspect and Test Cross Deck Winches (Level II).
(6) Inspect and Test Chain Inhaul Device (Level I). (7) Overhaul Anchor
Windlass Assembly. (8) Inspect and Overhaul Mechanical Chain Stoppers
(Level I). (9) Overhaul Anchor(s) and Anchor Chain(s). (10) Inspect and
Test Boat Davits. (11) Inspect and Test Buoy Crane (Level II). (12)
Test Pad Eyes. (13) Preserve Main Mast. (14) Renew Deck Covering
System. (15) Provide Temporary Logistics. Option Items include but are
not limited to the following: (1) 10% Minor Coating Repairs on Potable
Water Tanks. (2) Preserve Potable Water Tanks. (3) Preserve Spill Oil
Recovery Tank. (4) Provide Additional Temporary Logistics. (5)
Composite Labor Rate. Vessel's homeport is located at NETC Pier 2,
Newport, RI 02841. The place of performance will be the vessel's
homepier. Vessel's availability schedule is for 28 calendar days
starting 11 September 2000. Vessel is a 225 Foot Seagoing Buoy Tender.
Orders for U. S. Coast Guard specification reference drawings must be
placed within ten (10) days from the solicitation issuance date. There
will be a non-refundable charge of $150.00 required in the form of a
certified check or money order payable to the U. S. Coast Guard, MLCA,
for a set of hard copy drawings. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM.
The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be provided free
of charge. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector
formats (e.g.*.TIF, *.TIF (group4), *.DWG, and *.DWF, etc.). All other
referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main
Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, Virginia. Funds are available for this
procurement. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small
Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and
specifications will be issued on or around June 12, 2000. All
responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the
