This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number RFQ-R5-03-00-47 applies and is issued as a Request For Quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-16. The Standard Industrial Code is: 3355. The Forest Service need is for the Supply and delivery of one Aluminum Box Culvert with the following dimensions: 16ft wide by 4ft-3 inch high and 36 ft long w/square ends. The culvert shall be assembled and placed on formed concrete footings with concrete headwalls by another contract. Culvert shall meet the minimum requirements of HS-20 live load, and a minimum cover of 1.7 ft and maximum cover of 5 ft. Materials shall include all nuts, bolts, washers and plates to complete installation. Stiffeners will be required and are a part of the materials to be delivered. Delivery location will be the Forest Service Work Center located in Meyers (South Lake Tahoe), California. A forklift may be available Monday thru Friday to assist in unloading the materials.
