(760) 939-6043 The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China
Lake, CA, intends to award a firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery,
indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) type contract for s-band antennas to support
the telemetry systems for the Sidewinder Missile Project training
rounds. The antennas must meet the required form, fit, and function
requirements of specification AS-6165 (Performance Specification Naval
Air Systems Command Department of the Navy Item Specification for
S-Band Stripline Antennas) and Drawing 639AS9493 (Source Control
Drawing for Antenna, "S" Band) for a preexisting missile telemetry
fabrication package. The antennas shall also meet JF-12 frequency
management requirements. The antennas must operate into a nominal
50-ohm load on a specified frequency in the ultra-high frequency (UHF)
telemetry band from 2200.5 to 2260.5 MHz. The antenna VSWR at the
unconnected end of the cable shall be 1:5 to 1 maximum across the
frequency band specified. This procurement is 100% set aside for small
business (SIC 3663, size standard is 750 employees). To qualify
product under Drawing 639AS9485, a vendor's product must undergo first
article qualification at their own expense. The Government reserves
the right to waive first article for accelerometers that have
previously been delivered by the offeror and accepted by the Government
with the last 1 year. A minimum of 100 units each will be ordered at
contract award and a maximum of 500 units each may be ordered over the
5-year term of the contract (1 basic year plus four 1-year options).
Delivery will be FOB destination to NAWCWPNS, China Lake, beginning 90
days after the effective date of the delivery order at a rate of 20
units/month. The solicitation will be issued on or about 26 May 2000
and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home page
at: http://www.nawcwpns.navy.mil/~contract/homepubl.htm. Some portions
of the RFQ are not available electronically. It is the offeror's
responsibility to contact the Government Representative cited in the
RFQ (and listed below) in order to obtain paper copies of those
portions of the RFQ that are unavailable electronically. For a copy of

(2); and CDRLs, DD Form 1423, Exhibit (A), send a written request to

below. The anticipated award date is 31 August 2000. Quotations may be
