Federal Prison Camp,Seymour Johnson Air Force Base,Goldsboro, North
Carolina has a requirement for Comprehensive Inpatient/Outpatient
MedicalServices, to include physician, bed space, emergency room, and
ancillary services. The facility must be certified at time of award
meeting JCAHO requirements and maintain an ongoing quality assurance
program. The facility must also meet all local, state, and Federal laws
to operate as a hospital. All diagnosis shall be coded in I.D-9 format.
Medicare rates and/or DRG rates are highly desirable. All hospital
provided physicians shall be graduates of accredited medical school(s)
and/or medical staff shall be licensed, and/or board certified by the
state of North Carolina, and be in compliance with all other laws and
regulations in effect. The facility shall be available 24 hours a day,
seven days a week, for 52 weeks a year. The facility shall be within
100 driving miles of the Federal Prison Camp, Seymour Johnson Air
ForceBase, Goldsboro, North Carolina. This will be a competitive
procurement, price and other factors considered, with award being made
to the offeror(s) determined to be in the best interest of the
Government. The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards.
Other factors include: technical responsiveness to the work statement,
responsiveness to other documentation, location of facility (also age,
condition, and suitability of facility), central billing, diversity of
services, and Past Performance (quality of service, timeliness of
performance, business relations, and customer satisfaction). There will
be a Base Year with four (4), one (1) year option periods. There will
be guaranteed minimums and estimated maximums for Inpatient/Outpatient
services as stated in the solicitation. Solicitation packages will be
mailed out approximately June 1, 2000, with an approximate due date of
