16 -- POST PRODUCTION SYSTEM SUPPORT (PPSS) OF THE AH-64A APACHE FIELDED FLEET SOL DAAH23-98-G-0049 POC AMSAM-AC-AV-A, Rodger D. Pearson, Contracting Officer, (256) 313-4029. The Government proposes to acquire on a sole source basis, a backlog of Post Production System Support (PPSS) requirements for the fielded fleet of AH-64A helicopters. PPSS backlog requirements include Update of Provisioning Data, Update of Technical Publications, Incorporation of Recapitalization Requirements for major components and resolution of a backlog of AH-64A Quality Deficiency Reports. The Government intends to award a delivery order against Basic Ordering Agreement DAAH23-98-G-0049 to The Boeing Company doing business as McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Services, 5000 East McDowell Road, Mesa, Arizona, 85215-9797 under the authority of Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), only one source or a limited number of responsible sources are able to satisfy agency requirements. The Government's minimum needs for AH-64A PPSS can only be satisfied by the unique expertise and technical services available from the prime manufacturer of the Apache helicopter. Thereis no technical data package and no solicitation will be issued. The period of performance for the backlog requirements is 12 months after receipt of order.
