sources for the Standardized Integrated Command Post System (SICPS)
Rigid Wall Shelter (RWS). Nomenclature S-832/G, NSN 5411-01-436-3326,
LIN Z77196. The current source for these shelters is Gichner Shelter
Systems, Cage code 29381. The shelters will be procured via a
performance specification but must comply with the following interface
drawings to ensure compatibility with the High Mobility Multipurpose
Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV): Interface Control Drawing for Shelter,
Electrical Equipment Lightweight, Types I, II, and III, Drawing Number
17-2-0035; and Interface Control Dwg SICPS-RWS Version 3 Operational
Configuration, Drawing Number 17-2-0036. CD-ROM copies of these
drawings may be obtained by contacting the POCs listed below. The
integrated shelter provides workspace for two operators and equipment
that is shielded from environmental, electronic, and
chemical/biological threats. It provides power, signal and structural
interfaces capable of accepting numerous configurations of
communications and computer equipment. The integrated shelter has
on-board power generation and air conditioning capabilities and can
accept and distribute power from multiple sources. It can operate
mounted on the HMMWV, while the vehicle is moving or stationary, or
deployed in a command post configuration with an attached tent.
Suppliers capable of furnishing these units must so indicate by writing
to Product Manager Platforms, ATTN: SFAE-C3S-AD-PLT, Building 2700 Room
0A504, Ft. Monmouth, NJ 07703. The response must include documentation
demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with a
unit that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with the
unit from the previous supplier. An RFP is anticipated in the 2nd QTR
FY 2001. The deadline for Market Survey response is June 09, 2000. For
