C -- A&E SERVICES, WATER AND WASTEWATER SYSTEMS SOL RFP R1-04-00-36 DUE 060500 POC Fred A. Fischer, (208 765-7433 Professional Architectural and Engineering Services to provide designs for new water and wastewater systems, repair and rehabilitation designs of existing systems and incidental general civil engineering work. Projects may be located at Ranger Stations, Job Corps centers, work centers, campgrounds, picnic sites, and/or seed orchards in Montana, Idaho, North and South Dakota. Services will provide engineering reports, complete designs, drawings, cost estimates and specifications and will include all electrical, mechanical and architectural services required for a complete design package. The Government intends to award a single contract for a one-year period with up to 4 additional one-year option periods. As specific projects arise, individual task orders will be issued. THE FOLOWING CRITERIA WILL BE APPLIED IN EVALUATION OF FIRMS FOR CONTRACT AWARD: 1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; 2) Specialized experience and technical competence in water and wastewater systems design, including, where appropriate, experience in energy conservation, pollution prevention, waste reduction and use of recovered materials; 3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; 4) Past Performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; 5) Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project; 6) Specialized technical skills in project coordination, management and teamwork, familiarity with common Forest Service waste water facility design and construction in the identified region and knowledge of material suppliers in the region; 7) Computer capabilities (specifically current versions of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office with ability to transmit electronically).
