AMENDMENT TO THE ONE ISSUED 6 MARCH 2000. The following
sentences/paragraphs are amended to read: "The National Science
Foundation has a need for publication requirements -- SIC code 2721
(size standard 500 employees) for its Division of Science Resources
Studies (SRS)." "The scope of work consists of five separate primary
areas." "The solicitation is currently available on the NSF external
web page at Internet address
http://www.nsf.gov/bfa/cpo/contract/sol.htm." "Quotations will be due
at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, May 15, 2000. Submit a separate
quotation for each primary area bid." The amended notice, in its
entirety, is published below. The National Science Foundation has a
need for publication requirements -- SIC code 2721 (size standard 500
employees) for its Division of Science Resources Studies (SRS). This
procurement is a 100% small business set-aside (see Note 1). The
Government intends to make up to five (5) awards for these services.
Each award will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 13 Simplified
Acquisition Procedures. Each award will be a firm fixed price Time and
Materials contract. Projects will be issued as requirements are
defined. The period of performance for each contract will be one year.
Contracts will not exceed those limits set forth in FAR Part 13,
Simplified Acquisition Procedures. It is intended that this notice
shall be considered to satisfy the CBD requirement for projects that
might exceed $25,000, and that no further notice will be made. The
scope of work consists of five separate primary areas. Editing -- short
term projects; Editing -- long term projects; Composition --
large/complex reports; Composition -- routine reports; Composition --
graphic design projects. Contractors may submit quotations in one or
any number of the primary areas. The contractor must possess, and be
able to demonstrate, all skills within each primary area. Examples of
publications produced by SRS can be seen on the Internet at
http://www.nsf.gov/sbe/srs/stats.htm. The solicitation is currently
available on the NSF external web page at Internet address
http://www.nsf.gov/bfa/cpo/contract/sol.htm. All solicitation
amendments and questions and answers will be published within ten days
of release, to the same Internet address. For immediate notification
of solicitation amendments and questions and answers, send an e-mail
address to afierste@nsf.gov. Reference the RFQ in which you are
interested. Interested parties who already submitted their e-mail
addresses need not do so again. Telephone requests will not be honored.
Quotations will be due at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, May 15,
2000. Submit a separate quotation for each primary area bid. Submit six
copies of each quotation, and one copy of each of your sample products.
