This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA GRC plans to acquire a VARIAN TURBO PUMP, a VARIAN ROUGH PUMP, and various ancillary items made by VARIAN VACUUM TECHNOLOGIES, further described in the LINKED document "RFQ3-148909 Specifications", WHICH SHOULD APPEAR AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE. USED/RE-FURBISHED/RE-MANUFACTURED/RE-BUILT PRODUCTS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE REGARDLESS OF WARRANTY; ONLY NEW PRODUCTS ARE ACCEPTABLE. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-15. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 3561 and 500 employees, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to GRC, Cleveland, Ohio, is required within 30 days ARO. Delivery and pricing shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Quotations for the items(s) described above are due by 5:30pm, May 16, 2000 and may be mailed, e-mailed, or faxed to THE CONTRACTING OFFICER, LINDA KENDRICK, Mail Stop 500-305 at the Contracting Office Address identified above, or to the Point of Contact (see below). EVERY OFFER/QUOTE shall include the RFQ number (RFQ3-148909), your statement affirming FOB destination, your proposed delivery schedule, your discount/payment terms, your warranty terms/duration (if applicable), your taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms/conditions, and shall be signed by an authorized company representative (including name & title).
