The project consists of reconstructing the Entrance Road, overlaying the Visitor Center Parking Area, and raising the grade of a segment of Jockey Hollow Road. The work includes embankment construction, placement of aggregate base, placement of hot asphalt concrete pavement, drainage work, and other miscellaneous work. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Aggregate Base, grading C or D: 7,160 metric tons; Hot asphalt concrete pavement: 4,300 metric tons; Inlets, Type 6B: 12 Each; and Pipe culverts, various diameters: 225 m.
