B -- ACOUSTICAL INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE STUDY SOL N0001500017 DUE 042400 POC Barbara Ruefly, (301)669-4048 The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) intends to award on a sole source basis, a contract, using simplified acquisition procedures, to TRW Systems & Information Technology Group, Electromagnetic Systems Laboratory, for plans to build an Acoustical Intelligence (ACINT) system which integrates all Data Acquisition and Management, Signal Processing, Display and Analysis tools required to Acoustic Intelligence Productions into a single COTS-based architecture. New technologies that meet the ACINT division's mission needs over the next several years must be thoroughly examined to ensure that requirements for the new ACINT system reflect the present and developing state of COTS network communication, information and processing technologies. This effort begins with a period of systems architecture study that delivers a cost estimate and a draft of a software engineering requirements specification. Deliverables will be: (1) view-graph presentation of subject investigation and recommendations, (2) draft Signature Analysis Capability Engineering Requirements Specification, (3) cost estimates, (4) monthly status reports.
